Bye Keyboardio Model 01, Welcome ZSA Moonlander!

I have the Keyboardio Model 01 for quite a while now. It is the most amazing keyboard that I had so far. The Canadian maple wood enclosure looks nice, and the layout is just amazing. It has the most comfortable hand and finger position that I have tried. The other keyboards that I had were not as good. The Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 had a nice overall great shape, but the key layout was this horrible staggered type. And the key switches were rubber dome. So a crappy keyboard altogether.

US International Keyboard Variants

I have been using the ANSI keyboard layout for many years now and stronly prefer it over the ISO layout. The ANSI layout has the smaller enter button and a longer left shift key. Then I use the US international layout such that I can create German umlaut characters and other fancy things. On top of that I use the Linux compose key to create even more characters.

Keyboard Shortcut Nightmares

I really like to use keyboard shortcuts for a lot of my work, I feel that I work faster and it takes less effort. Just as there are inconsistencies in the graphical user interfaces, there are a lot of inconsistencies in the keyboard shortcuts as well.

Tastaturen auf der Arbeit

Ich tippe gerne auf meiner mechanischen Tastatur. Das bringt jedoch direkt ein Problem, wenn ich nicht an meiner eigenen Tastatur tippe. Die meisten Tastaturen, die man heute so vorfindet, sind ziemlich schlecht. Bei Laptops ist es immer ein Kompromiss mit Gewicht und Bauhöhe. Die meisten eigenständigen Tastaturen sind jedoch ziemlich schlecht, teilweise schlimmer als manche Laptops.
