Last year I still used Google Photos, but eventually said goodbye. One of the reasons was that one cannot organize the library in a meaningful way via external scripts. The web user interface lacks functionality, and I cannot write a script to help out.
On Twitter one can often see people who have more to say than the character limit allows in a single tweet. They usually then reply to their own tweet and create a thread by doing so. One can feel that the medium isn't made for short articles. This is why I like my blog, I can just write as much text as I want. I can include more than four images. And I can structure the paragraphs like I want. People can share the URL as one tweet, or send me an e-mail discussing the whole post.
Around the 2005, there wasn't really an online streaming market. Movies and series would be distributed via movie theaters, DVD or TV networks. Usually cable networks had stuff earlier. But for movies one would always have to wait until it was done in theaters in the USA. Then it should be shown in theaters in Germany and eventually it would be sold on DVD. And even later it would be aired on TV. With series it was usually that a whole season was shown on cable TV in the USA, and once that was done it would be started in Germany. I remember that when CSI NY season 2 was finished in German TV, I was really stoked for season 3. But they started airing season 1 again as the third season was not done in the USA yet.
Google has this service called Photos where you can just upload photos and have a photo library. They arrange them by date, you can arrange them in albums and also search them. They did not charge anything for the storage and made it very easy to get more pictures online.
For years I have been using Toodledo, a freemium task list application. It has a website and also an Android app. The main idea is that it is a table of tasks with lots of attributes that can be set.

In the past years I have done a bit of programming teaching. Mostly at the university, where I have tutored in-person classes for C and LaTeX. On the side I have also taught people C and recently Python. In order to learn programming, one has to be able to experiment, therefore one needs to have a shared environment that allows to execute code. I want to introduce a few options that I have found.
